THE ICE GIRL SPEAKS

Bjork is to take part in a live webchat with her fans this week.

The Icelandic vocalist will speak with fans at 9pm this Thursday (June 22) via the website www.artistdirect.com. Bjvrk is expected to talk about winning the Palme D'Or for best actress at this year's Cannes Film Festival for her acting role in Lars Von Trier's 'Dancer In The Dark', as well as her future plans.

To submit a question for the webchat, visit www. artistdirect.com/events/bjork.com/.

Bjvrk's next release is set to be a live album, recorded during one of her two gigs at London Union Chapel last December. The set featured an acoustic Bjvrk singing with The Brodsky Quartet, and alongside reworked versions of her songs, she also covered Petula Clark's 'Downtown' and Elvis Costello's 'Who Do You Think You Are?'. The album is expected before the end of the year.

Bjvrk also features on the soundtrack to 'Dancer In The Dark', where she performs a duet with Radiohead vocalist Thom Yorke on a track called 'I've Scene It All'. She is also currently spending much of her time in Spain, recording what will become her next studio album proper.
