Gig-goers disappointed by short notice

Fans react to Wild In The Country cancellation

Following the announcement that this weekend's Wild In The Country festival has been cancelled, fans have been quick to express their dismay.

Promoters Renaissance announced the cancellation of Wild In The Country, due to take place this Saturday (July 5), via their messageboard earlier this morning.

Writing on the same board, ticket holders have been quick to express their disappointment.

"It's an absolute disgrace," said board member Jezzyd, in a post typical of those that have appeared.

Another poster, Deacon, commented that, "People have spent hundreds on travel and accommodation. A friend of mine is coming over from the States for this."

Many of the ticket holders appear disappointed that the festival has been cancelled at such short notice.

Renaissance have promised to "make every effort to ensure that ticket purchases will be refunded".
