Black Box Recorder announce one-off London gig

Sarah Nixey and co ask attendees to 'dress smartly' for the occasion

Black Box Recorder have announced a one-off show in London next February.

The band, whose best-known songs include 'The Facts Of Life' and 'England Made Me', will play Kilburn's Luminaire venue on February 18.

A flyer for the gig posted on vocalist Sarah Nixey's website says playfully: "If you intend to attend, please dress smartly."

Although a split was never officially announced, Black Box Recorder have been largely inactive since 2003, when their 'Passionoia' album was released.

The band briefly worked together on Art Brut's 2007 Christmas song 'Christmas Number One', however.

It is currently unknown whether Nixey will be joined at the Luminaire gig by fellow Black Box Recorder members Luke Haines and John Moore.
