New bands offered chance to perform at the Super Bowl
Your band could be seen at the most-watched US TV event
Unsigned bands are being given the chance to air their performance during the Super Bowl –- one of the most watched television events in America.
A competition sponsored by Doritos gives new bands the chance to submit their music videos online.
The winner’s video will be aired during a commercial break on the Super Bowl XLII broadcast on February 3, 2008.
To enter the competition, artists must submit a video of themselves performing their original song along with an audio file by November 25 to Snackstrongproductions.com.
Bands will be judged by a panel that includes William of Black Eyed Peas and Interscope Geffen A&M Records executives.
In addition to having their video aired at the Super Bowl, the winning act will be offered a record deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records.
The 10 semi-finalists will be announced in December, and the public will vote online to determine three finalists.
The three finalists will each be awarded $10,000 and a trip to Phoenix, Arizona to attend the Doritos Super Bowl party. The finalist -- also voted on by the public -- will win the coveted Super Bowl slot.
