Perez Hilton allegedly attacked by Black Eyed Peas manager

Gossip blogger Perez Hilton has allegedly been assaulted by the Black Eyed Peas' manager, after a number of run-ins with Fergie and will.i.am following an awards ceremony in Toronto last night (June 21).

In a video on his website, Hilton says he was approached by Fergie and will.i.am at various locations throughout the Canadian city following the MuchMusic Video Awards, and says both had issues with his negative coverage of them on his website.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, said in the video he was assaulted by their manager Polo Molina outside the Cobra club in the city.

The blogger Twittered about the alleged attack as he awaited the arrival of police to the hotel where he was staying. "I was assaulted by will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas and his security guards. I am bleeding. Please, I need to file a police report. No joke," reads one Tweet.

In the video account on his site today, Hilton acknowledged his unpopularity but says violence is not the answer. "I know that I say things that can really upset people. That’s never a reason to hit someone," he says. "I’ve been doing this for five years… but I have never had someone attack me like this."

According to the Associated Press, Molina turned himself in and has been charged with assault.
