Florida band get packed Festival Republic tent dancing

Black Kids 'get down and party' at Reading Festival
Black Kids got the Reading Festival into a party mood this evening (August 23), with a set that had fans bouncing along.

Playing to a packed Festival Republic tent, the Jacksonville, Florida group had the crowd dancing, clapping and blowing whistles throughout their set.

Barely pausing between songs, Reggie Youngblood and co first got the audience moving with a series of new indie disco favourites including 'Look At Me (When I Rock Wichoo)' and 'Partie Traumatic'.

"This is our first time we've been at the Reading Festival," explained Youngblood when the singer finally spoke to the crowd. "Thanks for getting down with us!"

With the party spirit continuing, the singer later urged the crowd to "get their dancing shoes on" for 'Hurricane Jane' which saw them loudly screaming along with the band during the chorus.

"I knew we were going to have a good time," Youngblood told the audience afterwards, "but I didn't know it was going to be a party like this shit!"

However former single 'I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You' eclipsed the set the rest of the set for pure crowd energy, as the audience went wild, dancing and loudly singing along with the show closer.

Black Kids played:

'Look At Me (When I Rock Wichoo)'
'Hit The Heartbrakes'
'Partie Traumatic'
'I've Underestimated My Charm (Again)'
'Hurricane Jane'
'Listen To Your Body Tonight'
'I Wanna Be Your Limousine'
'I'm Not Gonna Teach Your boyfriend How To Dance With You'
