Wu Tang Clan's GZA joins Black Lips at SXSW
Rapper plays impromptu show with the Atlanta rockers
Wu Tang Clan's GZA joined Black Lips on stage last night at Emo’s at the Austin South By Southwest festival for an impromptu, un-rehearsed performance.
GZA joined the band for renditions of the rap troupe’s song 'Liquid Swords', rhyming on the spot as the band jammed. He dedicated 'Shimmy Shimmy Ya' to his late band member Ol' Dirty Bastard.
Before leaving the stage he signed off by saying that he is set to join the band again tonight (March 21) when Black Lips play at Waterloo Park.
He also said there would be "better" things to come from the new collaboration, as the show was the first time they had performed together.
