Black Rebel Motorcycle Club 'spread love' at Oxegen
The band are 'honoured' to play Ireland
The band played six tracks from their fourth record ‘Baby 81’ as well as a host of hit singles from their previous three albums in the Green Room.
During crowd favourite ’Spread Your Love’ guitarist Peter Hayes worked a harmonica into the song.
He later strapped on an acoustic guitar for ‘Howl’ track ‘Ain’t No Easy Way’ which also saw singer Robert Levon Been throw his tambourine in the crowd.
As the band launched into ‘Whatever Happened To My Rock 'N' Roll (Punk Song)’, the singer, who was dressed in a black leather jacket and shades, told the crowd: “It is a fucking honour to play to you people. This one is for you.”
