Black Rebel Motorcycle Club release details of new DVD and album

Californian band set to release live DVD next month

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are set to release a live DVD this Autumn, as well as a new album in Spring.

Called simply 'Live', the DVD was filmed and recorded at gigs in Berlin, Dublin and Glasgow during 2007.

Talking to Billboard.com, guitarist Robert Levon Been said:

"People have been urging us to do something like this for a while," he added "It came out a lot better than anyone thought it would. It became a labour of love rather than something to just put out."

The DVD also includes a second DVD of bonus footage that will feature studio recording sessions, videos and offstage acoustic performances.

Currently busy in Hollywood mixing their new album, Been revealed how things had been going:

"We just started writing endlessly, and it kind of took off like a bullet," he added, "We were writing on the road, at sound checks and whatnot. It came out really kind of spooky easy."

"We tracked, like, 23 or 24 [songs]; right now we're pulling our hair out trying to get down to 13 or 14. It's a high-class problem to have, though. I ain't complaining."

'Live' is due out on November 10.
