Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Robert Levon Been has been fined for hitting a fan in the eye with a bottle.
Been was ordered to pay €18,500 (£15,800) in damages and given a three-month suspended sentence, reports IndieLibertines.net.
The incident took place during the band's show in Munich on May 5 this year, when the bassist inadvertently threw a bottle of water from the stage hoping it would land in the bin.
The fan in question, who underwent a retinal transplant in the same eye when he was younger, damaged his retina and iris because of the incident.
During the hearing the bassist said he was sorry for what had happened and even offered to cover all the costs required to help his victim heal.
As previously reported, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club will head out on a tour of the UK in December, kicking off in Portsmouth on December 2.
