Pistols and Sabbath will be inducted into the US institution

Black Sabbath and the Sex Pistols are set to join the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

The two British acts are joined by Blondie, who will be inducted into the US institution in New York on March 13.

Jazz legend Miles Davis and Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd will also join at the ceremony, Rolling Stone reports.

Artists become eligible for the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame 25 years after the release of their first album.

Inductees are voted for by by 700 music-industry figures, and this year have selected A&M Records founders Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss in the non-performer category.
