Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi writes Armenian Eurovision entry Black Sabbath Tickets

Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has written the song Armenia will compete with at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Iommi will not perform at the annual competition, which this year is taking place in Sweden, but he has written the song 'Lonely Planet' for Armenian band Dorians. BBC News reports that the song is a "rock ballad" and that Iommi has a history with the Eastern European country, having raised funds for the city of Spitak following an earthquake in 1988. As many as 45,000 people were left injured by the disaster with a further half a million made homeless. Iommi also worked alongside Deep Purple's Ian Gillan to raise money to build a music school in the city last year.
Speaking about his reasons for getting involved in Eurovision, Iommi admitted he was reticent to begin with: "I first said, 'Oh God, I don't know' - it seemed really strange, me doing a Eurovision song. I don't usually do that. But I said, 'I've got a rock ballad; I'll send it over'. The thing is, I've always thought, 'Oh no, not the Eurovision,' and here I am in it now."
The semifinals of this year's Eurovision contest kicks off on May 14 in Malmö, Sweden. It was revealed earlier today (March 7) that Bonnie Tyler will represent the UK in this year's contest.
Tony Iommi is due to release new album '13' alongside his Black Sabbath bandmates later this year. The album, which is the first original band members Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler have recorded together since 1978's 'Never Say Die!', will be released in June.
