Blink-182 bass player and vocalist MARK HOPPUS has been joking that their new live album will be called 'FUCK EVERBODY, THEY SHOULD BURN IN HELL'.
Speaking to www.rollingstone.com, he revealed that it will feature tracks recorded at Los Angeles Universal Amphitheatre and Bill Graham's Pacific Auditorium in San Francisco, and according to Hoppus will reflect Blink 182's wacky onstage sense of humour: "I don't think we will put our CD out with lots of clapping and cheering because our live set is more about us joking around and making asses out of ourselves. There will be probably about 10 minutes of music and 40 minutes of us talking," he quipped.
Mark continued that it would probably contain the full set of their current 'Mark, Tom And Travis Show' tour: "There will be some songs from 'Cheshire Cat', there will be a bunch of stuff from 'Dude Ranch' and a lot of stuff from [last album] 'Enema Of The State'."
He continued: "I would have liked to wait until after the next record comes out to put out a live record, but we wanted to do something cool for the kids who've been there since the beginning." Hoppus also added that it was likely to be available for a limited period only.
Injured drummer Travis Barker, who had to retire from the US tour after he broke his pinkie in a fight prior to a gig in Ohio on June 4, is expected to return for the last few dates in the band's schedule so that photos can be taken of the full line-up for the sleeve of the live album, which will be produced by 'Enema...' producer Jerry Finn.
Once the tour is completed on July 8, the band take a month off before starting work on their fourth studio album, which Hoppus has written four tracks for and guitarist Tom Delonge has penned five for. As yet untitled, he claimed the subject matter would be "the same... girls and relationships, family and the world".
Blink 182 play the Carling Weekend Festival in August, appearing on the main stage at Leeds (26th) and Reading (27th).
