Blink-182's Travis Barker sues after plane crash

The drummer is seeking damages from two companies

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker is suing two companies for damages following the plane crash he was involved in.

Barker was injured in the crash in South Carolina in September, in which four people died.

The drummer has since sued Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co, which owned the Learjet which crashed, and an aeroplane maintenance company, reports Fox News.

He is seeking $25,000 (£17,000) in damages for pain and suffering, disfigurement, loss of earnings plus medical and legal expenses.

Thelma Martin Still, the mother of Barker's bodyguard Charles Monroe Still Jr, who was killed in the crash, is joining the drummer in the lawsuit. She is suing for damages including grief and sorrow and funeral expenses.

In the lawsuit the pair claim that the plane's pilots were not properly trained and that the Learjet was "defective".

That has to be the most reasonable sum to sue someone for in American history. Usually celebrities go over the top and sue for millions for something trivial like using a song on a TV episode without asking. In this case I would expect any other celebrity to sue for millions. Kudos to Travis Barker!

Can we sue him for the dismal music he inflicts on the world?

the only thing i cant believe is that he's only suing for $25000!!!!in america they file million dollar lawsuits for fun, over trivial things. this was a very serious incident in which he was lucky to escape alive. i dont know why he is bothering for such a trivial sum, surely he must have tons more in the bank.

'suing for damages including grief and sorrow', money makes it all better does it?

domthemod, it clearly has nothing to do with the money as he is suing for $25,000 which obviously is a drop in the ocean to someone like him. If you were in a near fatal plane crash you would want to see the party at fault held to account also. It's not about the money, it's about principle.
