The transcript has been released of a conversation between the two pilots of the Learjet that crashed in South Carolina last year, leaving Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein as the sole survivors.
The file indicates that pilot Sarah Lemmon and her co-pilot James Bland heard a series of clicking noises during take-off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport on the night of September 19, 2008.
"What was that?" Bland asked. "I don't know," Lemmon said. "We're not going though." Lemmon then reportedly slammed on the brakes and one of the pilots said: "What is going on here?", reports the Associated Press.
Bland then instructed the airport to alert its emergency services saying: "Roll the equipment, we're going off the end."
The plane tore through a fence at the end of the runway, crossed a highway and slammed into an embankment. The plane caught fire and four people died, including both pilots.
Barker and Goldstein escaped from the burning plane and were treated for burns.
