Blink-182 cancel gig following DJ AM's death
Blink-182 cancelled a gig in New York last night (August 31) following the death of their friend and collaborator DJ AM.

The band pulled their appearance at the Saragota Performing Arts Centre following the news that DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, had passed away on Friday (August 28).

A message on the band's official website, Blink182.com, stated: "Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, Blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at SPAC. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time."

Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French, who were also on the bill for the event, were set to go ahead with their sets.

Blink-182 are set to resume touring at the Cleveland Blossom venue tomorrow (September 2).
