My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way joined Blink-182 to perform the trio's hit single 'First Date' on Sunday night (September 11), scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch a video of the collaboration.

According to reports, Blink-182's Tom DeLonge was struggling with illness and so asked Way if he would take lead vocals on the track, which is normally sung by DeLonge fron beginning to end. The tour's other support band Matt And Kim also helped out, with singer Matt Johnson taking vocal duties on 'Always' during the bands' show at the DTE Energy Music Theater in Michigan.

My Chemical Romance have been touring with the pop-punk trio on the Honda Civic Tour throughout the summer, breaking only to headline Reading And Leeds Festivals.

Blink-182 are currently preparing to release their sixth studio album 'Neighborhoods', which is scheduled for release on September 26.

They debuted a new single 'After Midnight' online last week, meaning three tracks from the album have now been revealed.
