A fan fell from the balcony at the Hollywood Palladium venue in Los Angeles last night (November 7) at a Blink-182 concert.

TMZ reports that the fan survived the fall, but fell "face first" onto the ground off the 15-20 foot balcony. A witness told the gossip website that the impact of the incident - which happened during the song 'Dammit' in the encore - made the "gnarliest splat on the ground... I can still hear the sound. It was awful." According to, 'Dammit' was the second to last song of the evening.

The fan, who has not yet been named but was a close friend of the band, was covered in blood after the incident, and was swiftly taken to a local hospital, where he is currently being treated. TMZ writes that is not known how they fell or if his injuries are life-threatening.

Blink-182 are in the middle of a run of five shows at which they are performing their untitled 2003 album in full in Los Angeles. Their two nights at the Hollywood Palladium (November 6 and 7) will be followed by three shows at The Wiltern (November 11, 12, 13). Released in 2003, the album was Blink-182's fifth studio album. Since its release the band have put out just one more full length LP, 'Neighborhoods', in 2011.
