A fan fell from the balcony at the Hollywood Palladium venue in Los Angeles last night (November 7) at a Blink-182 concert.

TMZ reports that the fan survived the fall, but fell "face first" onto the ground off the 15-20 foot balcony. A witness told the gossip website that the impact of the incident - which happened during the song 'Dammit' in the encore - made the "gnarliest splat on the ground... I can still hear the sound. It was awful." According to Setlist.fm, 'Dammit' was the second to last song of the evening.

The fan, who has not yet been named but was a close friend of the band, was covered in blood after the incident, and was swiftly taken to a local hospital, where he is currently being treated. TMZ writes that is not known how they fell or if his injuries are life-threatening.

Blink-182 are in the middle of a run of five shows at which they are performing their untitled 2003 album in full in Los Angeles. Their two nights at the Hollywood Palladium (November 6 and 7) will be followed by three shows at The Wiltern (November 11, 12, 13). Released in 2003, the album was Blink-182's fifth studio album. Since its release the band have put out just one more full length LP, 'Neighborhoods', in 2011.
