Blink-182 will play a one-off UK date in August.

The US trio will perform at O2 Academy Brixton in London on August 6. Tickets are available from 9am on Friday (June 27). See below for further details.

This London date will act as a warm-up for the band's appearance at this year's Reading and Leeds Festivals. Speaking about the Brixton show, Mark Hoppus of the group says: "We're very excited to preface the Reading and Leeds Festivals with this Brixton Academy warm-up date."

The news that the US pop-punk trio are the first headline act confirmed for the 2014 event was announced last year. They are joined by Arctic Monkeys, Queens Of The Stone Age and Paramore on the bill for the festivals, which will take place in August.

The punk-pop band released their most recent album and their sixth studio LP, 'Neighborhoods', in 2009. Speaking in 2013, Hoppus said that the trio are hoping to have the record out not long after they play Reading and Leeds .

Blink-182's latest release was the 'Dogs Eating Dogs' EP in December 2012. The band split from their label Interscope in 2011.
