Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke is planning a big surprise for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals crowds.

The band, who are playing on the Saturday (August 25) on the Reading site and Sunday (August 26) on the Leeds site, hope to spring a macabre shock on the crowds - possibly.

Okereke also said he was looking forward to seeing one particular band.

He said: “We’re looking forward to seeing Biffy Clyro again because we’re fans."
