Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has admitted that he found playing synths instead on his forthcoming solo album "scary".

The singer, who is releasing an album, 'The Boxer', under the name Kele on June 21, told NME.COM that he initially found it tough breaking out from his guitar-based comfort zone.

"It's scary, but doing things in a new way is kind of the point of making music," he said of the dance-influenced album. "Finding new limits for yourself. That's the only point when truly great things happen. Bottom line is, it was good scary."

'Tenderoni', the first single to be taken from 'The Boxer', is streaming now at Iamkele.com - hear it by clicking below. It is set for official release on June 14.
