Blood Orange a.k.a. Dev Hynes has shared the artwork for his upcoming album 'Freetown Sound'.

'Freetown Sound' will be the third album from the artist and producer, following-up 2013's 'Cupid Deluxe' and 2011's 'Coastal Grooves'. He has previously released albums under the moniker Lightspeed Champion.

Taking to Twitter to share the artwork, Hynes revealed that the image was snapped by American photographer Deana Lawson. Lawson has previously showcased her work at the renowned Museum of Modern Art in New York. You can see the album artwork below.

Writing on Twitter, Hynes said the album would be "coming soon" with a release date yet to be announced. Speaking to V Magazine back in April after the album announcement, Hynes said that the record "kind of plays like a long mix tape". “It’s like my version of Paul’s Boutique," he said.

"The record addresses the way Christianity was brought to West Africa and the way black households held on very tightly to Christianity because it was this beacon of hope," he explained. "...and how eventually this somehow led to someone in a school telling me not to use my left hand".

Blood Orange is currently on tour, set to make an appearance in London's Hyde Park on July 2 as part of the Barclaycard British Summer Time events.
