Blood Red Shoes have announced details of UK tour to begin in April 2014.

The Brighton duo will hit the road later this year with DZ Deathrays and Slaves as rotating main support acts. The 10-date tour will begin in Nottingham on April 22 and run through to May 2 with a gig at Leeds Cockpit. Scroll down for full details and ticket information.

Blood Red Shoes fourth album will be self-titled and will be released on March 3, 2014. It is the follow-up to 2012's 'In Time To Voices'. Watch the video for the first track to be taken from the album, 'An Animal', below.

Talking about the new material, drummer and singer Steve Ansell said: "For this album we packed up all our stuff, got in a van and drove to Berlin, where we lived for months in a rented studio space. No producer, no engineer, no A&R people, just us two in a big concrete room in Kreuzberg, jamming and recording our songs whenever we wanted, how we wanted with nobody to answer to except ourselves. It came out as our rawest, heaviest, sexiest and most confident sounding record so far."

Blood Red Shoes will play:

Nottingham Bodega (April 22)
Bristol Trinity (23)
Birmingham Academy 2 (24)
Brighton Concorde 2 (25)
Glasgow Oran Mor (27)
Manchester Club Academy (28)
Norwich Waterfront (29)
London Electric Ballroom (30)
Leeds Cockpit (May 2)

Tickets are available from 9am, Friday January 24. To check the availability of Blood Red Shoes tickets and get all the latest listings, head to NME.COM/tickets.
