GANG EXPOSED
THE BLOODHOUND GANG's bassist EVIL JARED was detained by police in MOSCOW last night (June 13) after stripping off at a gig, nme.com can reveal.

The band were playing at the Red Army Ice Hockey Arena as part of a short tour of Russia. Evil Jared did his notorious striptease on stage, but was holding his bass low and his "crown jewels" were on display to the several thousand fans who were packed into the venue.

An spokesperson for the band who was at the gig said: "You could see that the officials did not find it funny. They detained him for a few hours and very strong words were said, but he was cautioned and released."

They also took exception to Jared fire-breathing. The spokesperson said: "He has done it at gigs before, but it's always been at outdoor festivals. This was the first time he's done it indoors."

The band play another gig to St Petersburg tonight.

In other Bloodhound Gang news, their track 'Mope' has been remixed by Pet Shop Boys.

The song has also had the remix treatment from KMFDM and Eiffel 65.

According to the band's spokesperson, it is not yet clear whether it will be a B-side to their next single, 'The Ballad Of Chasey Lain', released on July 24, or not: "We're not sure if it will be a B-side or released as a special 12", but it will be available at some point."

As reported on nme.com on Monday, The Bloodhound Gang received a rapturous reception at the Reykjavik Music Festival in Iceland at the weekend. For the full low-down of the event, including an exclusive interview with The Bloodhound Gang, keep an eye on nme.com later this week.
