Former boy band star charged with assault
Ex-Blue member accused of assaulting a taxi driver
Lee Ryan, formerly a member of boy band Blue, has been charged with assault after he allegedly attacked a taxi driver in Surrey.
The alleged attack occurred on New Year’s Eve after a minor traffic accident in Oxted. Surrey police told BBC News that Ryan had been charged with common assault.
The singer will appear before magistrates in Redhill on February 29.
