Blue's Lee Ryan set to appear before magistrates

Former Blue singer Lee Ryan has been charged with an attack on a taxi driver.

The ex-boyband member is accused of assaulting a man following a traffic accident in Oxted, Surrey on New Year’s Eve.

Surrey Police say the singer has been charged with common assault after answering bail at Reigate police station, BBC News reports.

A police spokeswoman said he would appear before magistrates in Redhill on February 29.
