Blur to play the longest live set in Brit Awards history

Host James Corden says the band will play an 11-minute set

Blur will play the longest live set in the history of the Brit Awards tomorrow night (February 21).

The band will be honoured with the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award and will play an 11-minute set at the end of the ceremony, which is longer then any other recipient of the award has been given.

Comedian James Corden, who will host the ceremony, told The Sun about Blur's performance: "Blur will perform for 11 minutes at the end of the show - more than anyone has been given before for the Outstanding Contribution To Music Award."

Corden also spoke about Coldplay's performance, which will open the ceremony and revealed that the band have spent "a fortune" on pyrotechnics for their show.

He said of this: "Coldplay are opening, which will be huge. They have spent a fortune on pyrotechnics to make it something really special."
