BLUR frontman DAMON ALBARN revealed onstage during the band's triumphant LONDON comeback last night (May 8) that he and estranged guitarist GRAHAM COXON are talking again.

Albarn said he and his old friend met up at bass player Alex James' recent wedding and that "we had a nice time". The singer has been reported as saying recently that he does not anticipate the split, which occurred during sessions for the group's new album 'Think Tank', being permanent.

Last night's show saw Blur's core trio of Albarn, James and drummer Dave Rowntree augmented by guitarist Simon Tong, a percussionist, keyboard player and three backing singers.

The set was drawn mainly form new LP 'Think Tank' including a double helping of the minute-long punk thrash of 'We've Got A File On You', but a number of old favourites were played, with every one of the band's seven albums represented, with the exception of 1991 debut 'Leisure'.

Among the surprises were a rare outing for 'The Great Escape''s 'Top Man', which Albarn said "should have been a single", and 'Parklife''s 'Badhead'. But the hits weren't ignored - and the 2,000 capacity crowd responded enthusiastically to the likes of 'Girls & Boys' and 'Song 2', as well as joining in a rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for drummer Dave Rowntree.

Blur play another four sold-out nights at the venue from tonight (May 9, 10, 12, 13).
