Alex James has again fuelled hopes Blur will reunite with Graham Coxon, insisting the foursome will be hitting the studio this summer.

The bassist claims they want to give it one last try together – and if the reunion doesn’t work out they will simply go their separate ways.

"We're all heading into the studio together this summer – Graham's coming too,” he told Dotmusic. “We're gonna see if we've still got it. If not, I think we'll just call it a day."

Should their time in the studio go to plan, the ensuing recording will be the first since Blur’s 2003 release 'Think Tank' – the sessions for which famously saw Coxon quit the band for good. His former bandmates Alex James, Damon Albarn and Dave Rowntree finished it off without him.

Alex James – the self-confessed “second drunkest member of the drunkest band in Britain" - is releasing an autobiography, 'Bit Of A Blur', later this year.
