Dave Rowntree hopes to become councillor

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree is set to stand for election today (May 3).
He is hoping to become a councillor for the ward of Marylebone in Westminster in the by-elections, which take place today (May 3).
Rowntree will be standing for Labour in what is a firmly Conservative seat.
