Blur bassist admits that he likes Oasis
Blur bassist Alex James has admitted that he wished he had written 'Wonderwall'.
James' admission comes just weeks after Oasis and Blur's long standing rivalry appeared to thaw after both Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher showed mutual respect for their bands in the NME.
He said: "I thought it was a really good song. Wish I'd written it. He's got a great voice Liam (Gallagher) and I think that's their finest moment."
His admission, which will appear on the Britpop edition of '7 Ages Of Rock' this Saturday (June 30), comes almost 12 years after the two bands went head to head in a highly publicised battle for the Number One spot.
The show will also recall the rise of both bands and document Oasis's legendary Knebworth gigs.
