Bob Dylan wins Spanish arts award

Singer claims the Prince of Asturias prize

Bob Dylan has won the Prince Of Asturias arts award - one of Spain’s most prestigious honours.

Eight Prince Of Asturias awards are given annually in categories including arts, science, sports and humanities.

Previous winners of the award having included filmmakers Woody Allen and Pedro Almodovar.

Meanwhile, Dylan will play the following Australian and New Zealand dates:

Christchurch Westpac Arena (August 8)
Wellington TSB Arena (10)
Auckland Vector Arena (11)
Brisbane Entertainment Centre (13)
Sydney Entertainment Centre (16)
Melbourne Rod Laver Arena (17, 19)
Adelaide Entertainment Centre (21)
