Bob Dylan biopic nominated for Oscar

Cate Blanchett is up for a movie gong for her role as the star

Recent Bob Dylan biopic 'I'm Not There' has picked up an Oscar nomination.

The film, which charts Dylan through seven distinct stages of his life, has got a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category for Cate Blanchett’s role as Dylan in the movie.

Blanchett has already won a Golden Globe for her part in the much-hyped film.

The 80th Academy Awards ceremony takes place in Los Angeles on February 24.
