Officials announced today (January 23) that they found six different prescription drugs at the scene of Heath Ledger's death.

A preliminary autopsy conducted today did not reveal the cause of the Australian actor's death, but further tests are expected to be conducted in the coming days.

Among the prescription medications found in Ledger's New York City apartment were pills to treat insomnia and anxiety, and an antihistamine, reported the Associated Press.

As previously reported, Ledger was found dead in his apartment yesterday at the age of 28. Police also said today that they discovered a rolled up $20 bill near Ledger's body, although no illegal drugs were found in his apartment.

The actor recently portrayed Bob Dylan in the recent biopic 'I'm Not There'.
