Bob Dylan and The Enemy battling for Number One album slot
Legend on course for first UK Number 1 in nearly 40 years
Bob Dylan's new album 'Together Through Life' is provisionally sat on top of the UK album chart, with the mid-week sales revealing a comfortable lead over The Enemy's second record 'Music For The People'.
Dylan's new record could be his first chart-topper in the UK since 1970's ‘New Morning’.
NME.COM understands that mid-week sales for the album stand at around 17,000 as of today (April 28), while The Enemy's 'Music For The People' are near the 13,000 mark.
If 'Together Through Life' stays on top throughout the week it will be Dylan's seventh UK Number One album.
His last two efforts, 'Modern Times' and 'Love And Theft', both narrowly missed out on the top spot, reaching Number Three in 2006 and 2001 respectively.
The Enemy's debut 'We'll Live and Die in these Towns' topped the charts in July 2007.
