Bob Dylan's grandson Pablo Dylan has paid tribute to the legendary singer, describing him as the "Jay-Z of his time".

The 15-year-old recently released his first hip-hop mixtape '10 Minutes' and said that his granddad "feels strongly" about his music.

Pablo told Allhiphop.com:

My grandfather, I consider him the Jay-Z of his time, and he definitely has a legacy that a lot of people look up to. I love him to death.

Although their music is from different sides of the tracks, Pablo insisted that he is influenced by Bob's tunes.

"Of course we do two different things, and I don’t want people to see me for what he has done. But, what I have done, I mean from a musical and personal standpoint, is definitely influenced by him," he said.

Bob Dylan is currently touring the US - he's due to play in Thackerville in Oklahoma tonight (July 23) before moving on to dates in New Braunfels, New Orleans, Pensacola and Atlanta next week.
