Classic Bob Marley album to be reissued

Bob Marley’s classic album ’Exodus’ is set to be reissued to mark the 30th anniversary of its release.

The LP will be re-released with a 144-page hardback book on June 7. It features an introduction from Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, the man who guided Marley to global superstardom.

The book will feature 200 pictures, many of which are previously unpublished.

A new film, ’Arena: Bob Marley’s Exodus 77’, will be shown on BBC2 in May. The film was directed by Anthony Wall, who directed 'Arena'’s documentary about Pete Doherty. The film will be premiered at London’s National Theatre on April 27.

The album was originally released on June 3, 1977, and stayed in the UK chart for 56 consecutive weeks.
