BOB BUILDS CHART EXTENSION!
BOB THE BUILDER has laid the foundations for a second Number One single, with his cover of 'MAMBO NO. 5' now just outselling the midweek chart topper SUPERMEN LOVERS.

The animated pre-teen favourite, whose 'Can We Fix It' single has already topped the UK singles chart, is ahead of 'Supermen Lovers' 'Starlight' by a slender 1200 copies in the final chart results prior to the final announcement on Sunday (September 9).

Last Tuesday (September 4), initial midweek figures showed that Bob was behind in the race by approximately 3000 copies.

A pal of the plucky builder at the Virgin Megastore in London told NME.COM that they expected 'Mambo No. 5' to retain its position at the top.

She commented: "We think it might stay now. You can never say for certain, but it is selling really well".
