GEORGIA NOT ON HIS MIND
The star is supposed to report to authorities each week in Georgia - but he was onstage with Ja Rule instead...
BOBBY BROWN's appearance at the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS earlier this week has landed him in trouble with the US courts.>
A judge in Georgia, where Brown is supposed to report to authorities each week as part of bond set last November on misdemeanour charges including drunk driving, has ruled that the 33-year-old star who performed alongside Ja Rule at the televised awards on Monday (January 13), was in breach of his bond conditions.
DeKalb County State Court judge Wayne M. Purdom issued a warrant. According to Reuters, Brown - who had also been ordered not to leave Georgia - had reported to authorities as required each week, until Monday.
Court officials said they expected him to surrender himself today (January 17) after the warrant was issued yesterday. He could face jail time as a result of breaching bond.
His trial, originally set for next week, has now been postponed.
