Bobby Brown suffers heart attack

Singer is hospitalised in Los Angeles

Bobby Brown suffered a mild heart attack and spent last night (October 9) in a Los Angeles hospital.

The singer's attorney announced today (October 10) that he was taken to two hospitals near his Southern California home after complaining of severe chest pains.

"This morning they did diagnose him as suffering from a mild heart attack...they attributed (it) to stress and diet," said attorney Phaedra Parks.

Brown, 38, was released from the hospital today in good condition, reports the Associated Press.

"He is in great spirits, he's doing very well," added Parks. "He's speaking with family members."

Brown was married to Whitney Houston and is currently seeking custody of their daughter.
