Bobby Brown charged with cocaine possession

Whitney Houston's ex due in court next month

Whitney Houston's musician ex-husband Bobby Brown has found himself in trouble with the law again – this time for alleged cocaine possession.

The Boston Herald has reported police are trying to charge Brown with possession of the substance after an incident at a Holiday Inn Hotel in Brockton, USA, last month.

It is reported police were called to the hotel shortly after midnight on December 1 to break up a fight.

Upon arriving at the scene troopers were directed towards a vehicle outside.

They then reportedly spoke to a man, identified as Brown, who was sitting in the front seat.

Sources say police found drugs on him and Brown asked if they could use "discretion" and not bring charges against him.

It seems his pleas failed though, and Brown will appear in Brockton District Court on February 19.

The original date was rescheduled after his lawyer had a calendar conflict, reports The Herald.
