Bobby Conn has revealed the details of a new album, due out in February, to be accompanied by forthcoming “rock opera” videos.
Conn and Iraqi-American filmmaker Usama Alshaibi are creating several full-length videos to accompany each song from the album.
“The look of the videos is inspired by ‘70s era soap operas,” Conn said. “We’re using a very old tube video camera and shooting everything on simple theatrical sets.”
The Chicago artist, who previously played Club NME in Manchester, said that he plans to make multiple videos for each song. Three will be included as a bonus feature on the ‘King For A Day’ CD, and the rest will appear on a monthly basis online at sites including YouTube, MySpace and bobbyconn.com.
Here’s the tracklisting:
‘Vanitas’
‘When The Money's Gone’
‘King For A Day’
‘A Glimpse of Paradise’
‘Love Let Me Down’
‘Sinking Ship’
‘Twenty-one’
‘Punch The Sky!’
‘Anybody’
‘(I'm Through With) My Ego’
‘Mr. Lucky’
‘Things’
