The Maccabees and Bombay Bicycle Club are to play a series of free instore gigs and signing sessions at HMV stores across the country.

The bands, who are set to kick off the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour alongside The Big Pink and The Drums in Newcastle tonight (February 4), play a series of free HMV instores and signing sessions to coincide with the nationwide jaunt.


The Maccabees at HMV Glasgow, HMV Brighton, HMV Cambridge. And Bombay Bicycle Club are doing, HMV Leeds, HMV Bristol, HMV Portsmouth.

The Maccabees play the following instores:

HMV Glasgow Buchanan Street, live acoustic session and signing (February 5, 5pm)
HMV Brighton Churchill Square, live acoustic session and signing (15, 5pm)
HMV Cambridge, live acoustic & signing (19, 5pm)


Bombay Bicycle Club play the following instores:

HMV Leeds Headrow Centre, signing only (February 7, 1pm)
HMV Bristol Broadmead, signing only (14, 1pm)
HMV Portsmouth, signing only (18, 1pm)
