The London band played their version of the fast-rising buzz track during an appearance in Radio 1's Live Lounge earlier today (October 17), the same day that Del Rey's version was finally released as an official single.

The original version of the song has clocked up more than 2.5 million views on YouTube since being uploaded by the American singer-songwriter in August.

And Del Rey is due to play her debut UK tour next month with dates scheduled in Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham and London.

Speaking to NME last month, the much talked-about singer claimed that she has been "fighting for survival for such a long time". She commented: "No money, no place to live – I’ve been in more dangerous situations than other people."

Meanwhile, Bombay Bicycle Club are due to bring their biggest UK tour to date to a close at London's O2 Academy Brixton on Wednesday (19) after playing in Nottingham tonight (17).
