They pip fellow New Jersey-native Bruce Springsteen at the post
Bon Jovi have been named the top-grossing touring act of 2008, beating the likes of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Madonna and The Police, all of whom made tens of millions of dollars this year.
The band grossed $210.6 million on their ‘Lost Highway’ trek in North America and Europe, beating Springsteen’s $204.6 million, and Madonna’s $162 million for her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour. Madge’s trek is still going, and she is currently in the midst of a South American jaunt.
According to Billboard Boxscore's top 10, Celine Dion made $91 million, Kenny Chesney scored $86 million, and Neil Diamond $81.2 million. The Spice Girls reunion tour saw them take in $70 million, while The Eagles and Rascal Flatts made $56.6 million and $55.8 million respectively.
