STAKES ARE HIGH FOR JON BON JOVI

The smooth rocker-turned-actor begins filming 'John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos' next year...

JON BON JOVI is to play the lead role in horror maestro JOHN CARPENTER's latest vampire movie.

According to Variety magazine, the rocker - who is currently in US cinemas in 'Pay It Forward' - will
begin filming 'John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos' early next year on location in Mexico.

Screen Gems, mid-budget arm of Sony
Pictures will make the movie, and Vice President Clint Culpepper said: "Jon has terrific screen presence and sex appeal and
the acting chops to match."

The film is the follow-up to Carpenter's 1998 movie
'Vampires', which starred James Woods and
Daniel Baldwin.
