Bono is amongst the artists who are featured on a new compilation called ’Rogue’s Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Songs & Chanteys’.

The 43-track double album was inspired by the ’Pirates Of The Caribbean’ films and was conceived by Gore Verbinski director of the forthcoming ’Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest’ with help from actor Johnny Depp.

Rufus Wainwright does ’Lowlands Away’ with mother Kate McGarrigle, Jarvis Cocker sings ’A Drop of Nelson’s Blood’, while from Antony & the Johnsons duets with Roxy Music legend Bryan Ferry on ’Lowlands Low’ and Lou Reed sings ’Leave Her Johnny’.

The album is set to be released on August 21st by Anti Records.
