Boredoms lead 88 drummers for LA debut of '88 BoaDrum'
Modest Mouse, Hole drummers take part
Boredoms performed with 88 drummers for the Los Angeles debut of '88 BoaDrum' on Friday night (August 8).
The 88 percussionists performed for 88 minutes beginning at 8:08pm with a star-studded lineup that featured drummers from several bands including Modest Mouse, Bauhaus and Hole.
The giant drum band divided their performance into three segments, playing rock and world-music-influenced beats.
Thousands flocked to the free event at the La Brea Tar Pits. A similar event took place in New York at 8:08 EST with Gang Gang Dance leading the drumming charge.
