Boy George pleads not guilty to imprisonment charge

The singer will stand trial later this year

Boy George has denied claims that he falsely imprisoned a Norwegian male escort by handcuffing him to a wall at the singer's London home last April.

The former lead singer of Culture Club pleaded not guilty to charges of false imprisonment at a London hearing yesterday (February 28).

The singer, 46, arrived wearing black and dark glasses. He said almost nothing during the 20-minute hearing, aside from entering his plea and confirming the conditions of his bail, reports E! Entertainment.

Boy George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, is currently free on bail and is scheduled to stand trial in November.
